Thompson Sales Compares the 2020 Classes of GMC Vehicles
GMC is the utility brand of American vehicles. The automaker focuses on SUVs, crossovers, and pickup trucks that are tough, last for years, and work well for families and people who work hard and play harder. Today’s blog from Thompson Sales compares the 2020 GMC classes you can test drive on our lot.
SUVs & Crossovers
Crossovers from GMC have muscle like a truck but handle like a car. GMC SUVs are like heavy-duty trucks that comfortably seat up to nine passengers. From smaller crossovers to larger SUVs, all of these GMC models are made for adventuring.
The 2020 GMC Terrain allows you to fold down or remove the passenger seats to expand its cargo area. The Terrain seats up to five people total with 63 cubic feet of cargo space behind the first row. Two of the top safety features are the automatic emergency braking system and following distance indicator.
The 2020 GMC Acadia is the bigger brother of the Terrain. This one seats seven and has more cargo space. You can also program the liftgate and tow up to 7,000 pounds. A 6-inch heads-up display lets you see vital stats without taking your eyes off the road.
Tow up to 8,500 pounds with the beefy 2020 GMC Yukon. The spacious interior has room for up to nine people. The XL version has extra legroom and more cargo space. Yukons have a V8 rather than the V6 engines in the Acadia and Terrain, making this vehicle an excellent option for families and heavy-duty work.
GMC features two pickup trucks that have varying trims and cab sizes. These vehicles are ideal for hardworking people who need power and cargo capacity.
The 2020 GMC Canyon tows up to 7,700 pounds and has a corner step rear bumper for getting into the bed easier. Three trims increase the features and cabin size. You can choose a V6 gas engine or a diesel, depending on your preferences. Fuel economy ranges from 20/26 to 17/24 for city/highway.
The GMC Sierra is the workhorse of the brand. 2020 models come in nine trims, all of which have different engine sizes, power, and cargo-hauling capabilities. The top pickup has 420 horsepower, and you can tow up to 12,100 pounds. The largest model has a massive 5.3-liter V8 and a 10-speed automatic transmission. You’ll love the six-function tailgate for loading and unloading cargo.
