Front Winch Capability on the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV Edition

The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 gets its most impressive upgrade to date with its off-roading capabilities in the AT4X AEV Edition. In addition to the heavy-duty springs, skid plates, and optimal approach and departure angles, this pickup has a spot to install a front winch to help it out of even the stickiest jams. 

Although front winches aren’t new for automobiles, this is a first in a half-ton pickup built specifically for off-roading. 

Baja Drive Mode on the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X

Baja Drive Mode is in play for the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X. For high-speed off-road driving, Baja Drive Mode optimizes the throttle for better response and torque while keeping the 4X4 highly engaged. You’ll get better control over the vehicle as you navigate tricky terrain, loose dirt, mud, and frequent shifts in traction.

Underbody Cameras With a Wash Function

The Canyon AT4X also comes with underbody cameras to let you see what’s going on. Even better, the cameras have a wash function and replaceable lens protectors. As the Canyon moves through tricky obstacles, you can see what’s going on from all angles without having to get out of the cab.

Previously, GMC installed underbody cameras on its 2022 Hummer EV. That same technology is filtering to other luxury trims for GMC, giving owners a new feature that was popular and only previously available on Hummers for a better offroading experience. 

Head-Up Display

The Canyon AT4X will feature a GMC-exclusive 6.3-inch head-up display just above the steering wheel on the windshield. Previously available on the GMC Yukon, you can see data like your speed, how far ahead the nearest vehicle is, lane statuses, pedestrian alerts, and trailer sway indicators.
